Inspired by a passion to serve God through ministry to inmates and their families, the founders of River of Life Prison Ministry held their first meeting in the chapel at McNeil Island Correction Center in 1985. Through songs and prayers, Bible study and testimonies, the love of God has transformed many inmates' lives over the 19 years that followed that humble beginning. As the men have grown in their faith and their desire to affect other peoples' lives, so River of Life Prison Ministry has needed to grow to accommodate their vision.
 
Through the sale of items on this website, we will be able to help those who have need but are without the means to meet it. Fellow inmates, family members, and men released from prison who are re-establishing themselves in society, will all benefit from benevolence gifts funded by this website. By these means, those who are incarcerated will better be able to serve the Lord they have come to know and love.
